Will Perth see a dry track again soon? It’s almost like places afar.

The Pearce stable has been having a lovely trot of late with horses running with great consistency and we'll stick to one more of them in the shape of Probity.

This gelding by Demerit is unbeaten since a spell winning twice here over the 1200m.

On both occasions he got well back and really attacked the line. Well surely now the added furlong will pose no issue and neither will the surface.

So he is also up in grade but therefore down in weight with Lucy Warwick sticking aboard.

He's obviously matured with racing and enjoying these tracks so we will stick with him at the price.

The Listed Belmont Newmarket is later in the day and six of those who went around in the HG Bolton Sprint take to this 1200m race.

Wondering if that form may be a bit hit and miss as they are all taking turns and so at some value, Staralign could be worth a flutter.

The 7yo had three runs in the Autumn, finishing within a length of the finish each time.

Naturally this is harder but he's got the limit, a rider in some form, rarely runs a bad one on affected ground and in a race where the winner often gets in well at the weights.

At his last start he ran into a horse who would end up winning a Belmont Sprint and placing in the Hyperion & Strickland.

And here we are getting decent odds to find out each way as to whether he's up to them. Plus I suggest he might ease on the day too.
