This is marginally tougher than last start, when the Kris Lees import cashed in on a gem of a ride, but that was only second-up off an encouraging fresh run suggesting there is improvement to come.
WIN - RANDWICK - Race 9 No. 4 - ARISTONOUS
Produced some big late splits first up in a slowly run race over the mile to grab third in a new ratings peak at his second Australian preparation. He showed good promise last time in winning his first two starts here and the rise to 1800m second up from a better draw looks ideal. He's the one in the race that looks capable of measuring up to better races and I'd be disappointed if he wasn't clearing this hurdle.
WIN - EAGLE FARM - Race 9 No. 10 - BEZIQUE
If winning form is good form then this horse is certainly in that category and it can continue in another manageable level in this Class 3. Won well at Doomben over 1200-metres on a Friday afternoon meeting and can follow-up here. Tony Gollan has her well-placed again.
