A barnstorming fresh win in Sydney should see Kinloch go close again up in trip in Saturday’s Listed Sunshine Coast Cup.
The Kris Lees-trained gelding made an impressive return when he settled at the tail but charged home for a last-stride win over 1200m at Randwick.
Kinloch is a two-time second-up winner so will be fitter and the extra 200m should suit him perfectly.
Another with strong claims second-up is Solar Apex earlier on the program.
The six-year-old made a strong return when only a neck from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 1350m at Doomben.
He steps up to a distance where he owns a sound record and with added fitness could go one better.
