Westport wins Saroa Oaklands Plate Listed $100,000 at Morphettville Parks, 1400m.
Westport made it three on end this preparation and claimed her maiden stakes success at start four in a decisive victory here. She was third into stride then held the fence in second a neck back of the leader past the 1000m.
Rounding into the home straight she took over and on straightening stretched out by a length then by two soon after. At the 200m she was challenged but had plenty in reserve, still clear by more than a length at the post.
Indiscretion was a clear last of six at the 800m, improved quickly (wide) turning in and ran up to challenge at the 200m but could not catch the winner. The first two were out on their own.
A distant third was Pouting Lips who was fifth turning in and battled away to hold third from Zoulah .
