Sanabreanna wins Tabtouch-Sir Ernest Lee-Steere, Listed, $100,000 at Ascot, 1400m.
With two top stakes placings leading into this, Sanabreanna was rewarded with her maiden stakes win (second career victory) at start seven in another top performance here.
She was away on terms but soon drifted to settle sixth, one off the fence, holding her position down the side and past the 800m.
Rounding into the straight she took some time to wind up, fifth at the 200m, into fourth at the 100m, then wore down the leader in the closing stages to win well.
Favourite Massimo sat outside the leader from the 1000m and was still second into the straight but took until the 100m to gain the lead only to be worn down late.
Laverrod was a handy fourth from the 600m, moved up turning in and challenged at the 150m but was outfinished while pacemaker War Saint led them to the 150m then fought well for fourth.
