Ef Troop wins Adelaide Galvanising Xmas Qlty, Listed, $100,000 at Morphettville, 1200m.
The former Queensland-trained Ef Troop did well in winning at his second start since resuming.
He had the run of the race before scoring his fourth win and second stakes victory here.
He settled third while the first two streaked away. From the 600m he made ground on the leaders and once into the straight took little time to balance then chased hard.
With one runner to pass he accelerated, grabbed the lead inside the 150m and was not going to be caught after that, away by a length and a quarter.
Zalmona was a distant fifth at the 600m, improved rounding into the straight and kept on solidly without any chance of catching the winner.
Miss Jane had four behind her turning into the straight and put in a good finishing run, taking over third just short of the line while Exalted Trail also finished well from fourth last at the top of the straight.
