Fabergino wins Furphy-Summer Scorcher, Listed, $100,000 at Ascot, 1000m.
Fabergino is fashioning an impressive record making it back-toback stakes and taking her career record to seven wins in 10 starts.
She was quickly into stride to lead early and a length clear at the 800m. Inside the 600m she snuck another half length on them and turning in yet another length.
From the 200m she was too far in front to be caught and kept up to her work clear by three and three quarter lengths at the line.
Belter sat second all the way, tried hard to catch the winner and did well to hold on for second from Essential Spice who was fourth (rails) at the 600m, hugged the fence turning in and ran on fairly for third.
Profit Street was well back at the 400m and was doing his best work in the straight for a distant fourth.
