Racing on Wednesday took place at Sale and Warwick Farm, and we’ve got a horse to follow from each.

Warwick Farm Race 2- Luna Rocks

This was a strong maiden win from two-year-old Luna Rocks who led all of the way on another heavy track at Warwick Farm. She went straight to the front and never looked in danger of losing, running away to win by over three lengths. The time was faster compared to the three-year-old benchmark 64, and Luna Rocks came home in a faster last 600m sectional which is always a strong sign. She can step up to Saturday grade next time out and be competitive.

Sale Race 5- Alverdun

On a fairly thin card, Alverdun was a run that will be overlooked by many but there was merit in his first up performance on Wednesday. He raced midfield and chased steadily for third, beaten 2.1 lengths and it looks a nice platform to progress further this preparation. He was at his best last time in when able to race on speed and control the tempo, especially when out to 1600m. He'd jumped out well leading into this and reports from the yard were positive, so expect when he gets to a mile and perhaps a bit further where he can dictate a race he can be hard to beat.
