Racing at Sandown-Hillside and Warwick Farm on Wednesday and we’ve got a horse from each meeting for your Racing And Sports blackbook.

Sandown-Hillside Race 2- As Time Goes By

No real standouts at Sandown but I think this filly can win her share of races as the distances get longer. I believe she's one of the last horses by the late, great Deep Impact racing in Australia and found the line very strongly here for second. The time was solid for the day and 1300m will end up being far too short for her. I'd expect her absolute lofty goal would be the VRC Oaks over 2500m but regardless if she isn't good enough for that, she can win her maiden over a mile 2nd or 3rd up.

Warwick Farm Race 5- Willinga Rufio

A very likeable horse this guy who returned with a dominant all the way win over the mile, taking his record to 3 wins from 4 starts. His only miss came at the hands of the progressive Naval Seal and it's his racing pattern that I love. He jumps well, goes to the front and is able to sustain a good gallop to get horses out of their comfort zone. His Racing And Sports speed figure was the second best of the card, and he can just keep picking his way through the grades from here. It's not unreasonable to suggest he can measure up in listed company or a solid country cup with natural improvement.
