Midweek racing included the inaugural meeting on the Caulfield Heath track, along with a good card from Randwick Kensington.
Caulfield Heath Race 3 – Sea What I See
This mare made it three-from-three this preparation and looks a very promising stayer for Danny O'Brien. She's improved her rating by five pounds each time and done it with plenty more to come. A daughter of Sea The Stars (Ire), she'll get 2400m no worries, and probably even further in time. Plenty more benchmark options for her going forward but she can win in Saturday grade over a trip very soon.
Randwick Kensington Race 2 – Pinito
Outstanding debut by this Trapeze Artist (Aus) filly in the Godolphin blue. She drew the widest barrier and they rode her dead-last as the winner sat outside the leader. Pinito was at least eight lengths off the leader at the top of the straight and went through her gears beautifully down the outside, charging into second under Tom Marquand in an eye-catching performance. She looks to have a serious motor and will relish a rise in trip and a more positive ride next start.
