St Kilda have submitted their AFL free agency offer for Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch.

The Crows have three days to consider whether to match the offer for the restricted free agent and force the Saints into a trade.

Wooden spooners Adelaide are seeking a high first-round draft pick for the 26-year-old Crouch.

It comes after Greater Western Sydney on Saturday became the first club to match a rival team's bid for a restricted free agent, with the Giants ensuring Geelong trade for star forward Jeremy Cameron.

Many clubs have threatened to match restricted free agency offers in the past but usually just accept a compensation pick instead.

Adelaide football boss Adam Kelly said last week that if the club received any pick less than No.2 then the Crows would likely match the deal for Crouch.
