Bulldogs delist Gowers among three axings

3 minute read

Billy Gowers led the Western Bulldogs' goalkicking chart in 2018 with 26 goals, but he now finds himself without an AFL club.

The Western Bulldogs have delisted Billy Gowers just two years after the forward led the club's goalkicking chart.

Gowers, Fergus Greene and Brad Lynch were told this week that they would not be offered contracts for 2021.

Lynch played nine games - all in 2018 - after being picked in the 2015 rookie draft.

Greene managed just five games after being selected with pick No.70 in the 2016 national draft.

Gowers was the most successful of the trio, booting 26 goals in 20 games in 2018 to lead the club's goalkicking chart.

The 24-year-old was goalless from his three games this year and leaves with a total of 33 games to his name.

The Bulldogs have now made four changes to their playing list ahead of 2021, including the retirement of premiership forward Tory Dickson in September.
