NEIL WAGNER'S BIG-NAME CASUALTIES THIS SUMMER

vs David Warner (9.3 overs, 4-26)

* Perth, first innings: Wagner takes a ripper of a caught-and-bowled to remove the opener for 43. It was a low full toss and Warner bunted it back to the left-armer, who took it with his right.

* Melbourne, first innings: Caught at second slip for 41 to a ball he didn't move his feet entirely well to. Full outside off and swung away marginally late.

* Melbourne, second innings: Warner throws his wicket away when he backs away and tries to hit Wagner through cover in the pursuit of quick runs. Is out for 38.

* Sydney, first innings: Short ball down leg and Warner turns it straight to Colin de Grandhomme at leg gully. No real pace on the ball and it stays hip high but Warner picks out the fielder and dismissed for 45.

vs Steve Smith (26.3 overs, 4-27)

* Perth, first innings: Short ball that Smith hits to leg trap as part of a field set up for the bouncer. Goes for 43.

* Perth, second innings: Caught on the pull shot under lights for 16, with the square-leg fielder halfway back to the boundary.

* Melbourne, first innings: Smith gets a brute of a bouncer that rises sharply at him and gets him on the gloves as he leaps and tries to evade it. The catch goes to gully and he is out for 85.

* Melbourne, second innings: Smith is dismissed on seven when he tries to turn Wagner around the corner cross batted and lobs it to Tim Southee as the Aussies attempt to up the run-rate.
