Ellyse Perry will make her return from a shoulder injury for Victoria on Tuesday as she ramps up her preparations for the Twenty20 World Cup.

The Australian superstar hurt her AC joint in November trying to take a catch in the WBBL, and missed the end of the tournament for the Sydney Sixers.

The 29-year-old is expected to come back against Western Australia in the Women's National Cricket League at Junction Oval, just over a month out from the T20 World Cup.

Her return will coincide with her first match for Victoria, after leaving NSW at the end of last summer to live with partner and Wallabies star Matt Toomua.

Perry will play two matches this week for Victoria, as well as a tri-series for Australia against India and England before the home tournament.

The allrounder will form a key part of Australia's squad when it is announced next week, after being named the ICC's women's cricketer of the year for 2019.
