A world title shot and fighting in front of a crowd in Las Vegas in September is a distinct possibility for Australian boxer Jason Moloney.

Jason Moloney's chances of fighting for a boxing world title in September are firming and it could be in front of a crowd at a big Las Vegas Stadium.

World ranked bantamweight Moloney is in quarantine in Sydney until July 16 after returning from Las Vegas, where he scored a seventh round stoppage over Mexican Leonardo Baez last month.

Also in quarantine is Jason's twin brother Andrew, who lost the WBA super-flyweight title on a points decision to American Joshua Francou two nights earlier at the same venue.

Andrew's rematch with Franco could still be on the undercard of the third heavyweight title bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, mooted for December.

The twins' promoter Bob Arum wants Jason on the undercard of a September 19 show featuring a lightweight unification fight between Vasiliy Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez.

Arum is pushing the WBO to elevate Jason from two to one in their rankings, after top-ranked contender Josh Greer lost his last fight.

The legendary promoter has asked the WBO to match Jason with WBO world champion John Casimero, whose title unification fight with Japan's Naoya Inoue has been delayed.

"It's a very distinct possibility because Casimero won't fight Inoue because Inoue has a visa issue and it looks like he's going to be defending his title in Japan next," the Moloney's manager Tony Tolj told AAP.

"That leaves Casimiro without a fight.

"The talk is they will be at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where the Las Vegas Raiders (NFL team) play.

"If they can have only 10, 20 or 30 per cent of the crowd and it's a (65,000 capacity) stadium, they can have a decent crowd there."

Tolj said Andrew Moloney was recovering well from the perforated eardrums he suffered during the fight with Francou.
