Melbourne powerhouse Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been hit with a grade-one contrary conduct charge at the NRL judiciary but won't face a playing ban.

Asofa-Solomona appeared to stomp on the hand of Roosters counterpart and Kiwis teammate Jared Waerea-Hargreaves while being tackled in the first half of the Storm's 21-20 golden-point loss on Friday.

The incident wasn't picked up by the on-field referees.

The 120kg enforcer will face a $1350 fine if he pleads guilty to the charge, or a $1800 fine if he contests the charge and loses.
