Waller Names Four For Caulfield Cup

The Chris Waller stable has confirmed that it will have four starters in the $3 million Caulfield Cup on Saturday week.

Stable manager Liam Prior announced that Waller intends to start Beaten Up, Grand Marshal, Royal Descent and Who Shot Thebarman, leaving out last Sunday’s Turnbull Stakes winner Preferment.

Glen Boss is booked to ride Royal Descent, Jim Cassidy will be aboard Grand Marshal, Glyn Schofield is booked for Beaten Up and Blake Shinn will be on Who Shot Thebarman.

Prior said Preferment was now programed to join Kermadec and Winx as the stable’s three starters in the WS Cox Plate at Moonee Valley on October 24.

The Cox Plate team and their riders will be finalized after Kermadec runs in Saturday’s Caulfield Stakes.
