The Queensland Oaks is the main attraction at Eagle Farm for the Australian racing public this week around very competitive betting cards at Rosehill, Flemington, Morphettville Parks and Belmont.

But internationally it is one of the biggest of the year. The most famous race in the world is run on Saturday as the Derby takes place at Epsom back in its normal spot at the start of June. The day before, they also run the Oaks and Coronation Cup.

The French also run their Derby (Prix du Jockey Club) on Sunday while in Japan the Yasuda Kinen is on for the top milers.

Hong Kong and Singapore race over the weekend and we keep an eye on the breeding scene as well coming off more action on the Gold Coast.

Links to the Transcription service in MELBOURNE are also available for those who might wish to check out historical stats and past jockey/trainer quotes from weeks gone by.
