Select your tournament
You select which tournament you would like to play in, it’s up to you.
The tournaments can run over a single race day, or they can be a combination of races from different meetings. (Click on the tournament to view what races are involved, they will be in order of when you need to bet.)
You then choose what value tournament you would like to play in.
The price of the tournament can be FREE entry, for those that just want to have some fun.
A couple of dollars for the guys that need to have something at stake, $20-$110 for the punters in the house and for the "High Rollers" there are $500-$1100 tournaments.

Once you choose your tournament, you hit the “Enter” Button and you’re racing!
Place your Bets
Once you enter, you will receive your BettaBucks, which could be 1000 BettaBucks or even 10,000 BettaBucks. The higher the price of the tournament the more BettaBucks you get to play with.
You have to ‘turnover’ those BettaBucks and as you can see below (right-hand side) the Turnover section shows how many dollars are left to bet with to qualify.
In this case, this TopBetta has not had a bet. Hence they have $1,000 remaining.
You can place as many or as little BettaBucks on each race or selection.
Just go to the race about to jump in your tournament and select the horse you want to place a bet on and this ticket should pop up.
As you can see below we have placed a WIN bet of $500 on UNBREAKABLE to accumulate $2,250 (we can tell you the stupid thing came last).
Then we click PLACE BET and CONFIRM BET. And we are off!
You should be aware that you can only bet on WIN and PLACE selections.
ou can re-invest your winnings to make sure you keep climbing the leaderboard and try to take out top spot or a grab a place that pays.
Check the leaderboard and hold your nerve
When all those around you are losing their heads . . .
After each race, you can check in on the LeaderBoard and see where you are placed.
You should be aware of the pay structure in each tournament as they can be different.
Some are JACKPOT tickets into bigger pay out tournaments, some are WINNER TAKES ALL, some TOP 3 and some are split dependent upon the number of entrants.
The tournament below is a cash pool tournament; the Tournament details will give you all you need to know.
So you get 10 Re-Buys which means if you lose all your BettaBucks you can purchase another ticket and join in the tournament again. However, after Race 5 jumps you cannot buy in again.
This tournament has a cash pool of $230. So you want to be Ranked No. 1 to win the cash.
If it were Top 3 then you would see the split for the payout. Make sure you always check this information before you enter a Tournament, so you know exactly what you are playing for.

The trick with the tournaments is working out whether you need to bet again or sit tight for the win.
One unique feature is that you can see what your fellow TopBettas have bet on, once the race has finished.
If we look at Cruicky1981 by clicking on his name on the LeaderBoard we can see what he has punted on.
This could come in handy later on, there may be some kind of pattern to your rival’s betting prowess and could help you out.
So, all you have to do is speculate to accumulate and top that LeaderBoard and become the TopBetta, taking the cash prize or ticket to an even bigger tournament!
