Kennewell goes to $600,000 for daughter of I'm All The Talk 

2020 Group 2 WA Guineas (1600m) winning mare Watch Me Dance (I'm All The Talk) set a WA record on Sunday when bought by Victorian trainer Lloyd Kennewell for $600,000. 

Offered by Western Breeders Alliance as agent for Commercial Bloodstock, the four-year-old mare was trained by Stephen Wolfe and eclipsed the previous state record of $420,000 that was set for Ellicazoom (Testa Rossa) four years ago at this sale. 

Watch Me Dance has raced 26 times to date for five wins and 13 placings and had been bought for $34,000 by Commercial Bloodstock Services at the 2019 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale. 

"She's got a great race pedigree and on the market she looked pretty good value," Kennewell said of Watch Me Dance. "In the east she could have made more.

"She will race on. I will train her in Victoria – we have just booked her to fly on Tuesday."

Kennewell said Watch Me Dance will be given a break before future race plans are drawn up.

"The plan is to race her for 12 months before heading to stud. I bought her for a good client and we're excited to get her," he said. 

"I liked her as a type as well – she's a nice, sweet filly. She's had a bit of recent racing so she will have a break when she gets over east." 

Earlier in the day local trainer Luke Fernie went to $200,000 to secure the day's top selling yearling – the Russian Revolution (Snitzel) half brother to Kissonallforcheeks (Written Tycoon).

The latest youngster from the stakes winning and good producer Rosie Rocket (Blackfriars), the colt was offered as part of the Dawson Stud draft.

All up across the day over $1.9 million was traded on a mix of weanlings, broodmares, yearlings and racehorses.
