Winning Trainer: Mike Moroney
Ran out the 1400m: "He did. He sort of wanted to get the wanders when he hit the front, he was waiting for them a bit. But he's only new at the whole thing so that's to be expected."
Sandown Guineas possibility: "We won't say no but we don't usually make decisions on raceday and we'll see how he pulls up. We'll consider all avenues."
"Paul (Moroney) spotted him (at the Inglis Premier Sales). I go and follow Paul around and we make the final decisions but when I saw this one he was such a beautifully balanced horse. I saw Toronado race at Ascot when he was racing there. He (looks like) his father probably more than any other I saw that year.
"We purchased him and got a good group of owners in him.
"He was a little bit stirry as a colt and we had to geld him. He's surprised us how professional he is in such a short time.
<This was Mike's 21st winner during the Melbourne Cup Carnival - the first was Second Coming in 1997>
Winning Jockey: Ben Melham
On having a quiet Flemington Carnival: "It's been a frustrating week but it's good to get one on the board."
In good spot on good tempo: "He wanted to grab onto the bridle there and I dropped him back in and he travelled strong. They let down before the corner and I just bided my time early in the straight and he let down with a really good kick like a good horse."
Mind and body holding up: "It's a long week and even longer if you don't get a winner. We're on the board now and hopefully we can slot a few more before the the day's out."
"He's a lovely colt I think. He gave me a really impressive feel. It's good to get a winner for Rupert Legh. he's been giving me a little bit of support of late and obviously Mike Moroney, so it's good to get on the board."
Super at 1400m: "He's probably a run on sprinter, seven furlongs, he won today and he's a pretty promising horse. I certainly wouldn't be going to a mile with him. What he's done today was very impressive. It's good to get a city win on the board with him. He's got a bright future."
