Crowther was victorious aboard Agreeable in last week's Murray Bridge Gold Cup and teams with the Phillip Stokes-trained seven-year-old who comes off a smart first-up win at Morphettville.

She heads to Gawler in superb form with five wins from her past 10 rides after a treble at Mount Gambier on Wednesday.

In contrast, Todd Pannell will be hoping for a change in fortunes this weekend when he teams with the Stuart Padman-trained Montign for the first time in the Cup.

Pannell rode four seconds, including the Cup, at Murray Bridge last weekend and was then forced to watch Saturday's racing from home after his two Caulfield rides were scratched and didn't make the trip to Melbourne.

John Letts Medallist Barend Vorster will chase a second successive Gawler Cup victory aboard Toyetic for local dual-code horseman Aaron Bain.

Vorster won last year's feature on Sign Of Ussuri for Tony and Calvin McEvoy, Bain chasing his first thoroughbred feature with the former Victorian who has three wins from four starts on this track.
