There were some impressive winners in Singapore over the weekend with two competitive meetings and several stakes races run at Kranji on Sunday.

Sky Rocket turned on the afterburners at the right time to score a gutsy win first-up from a short let-up in the $100,000 New Zealand Racing Board Trophy, a Kranji Stakes B race over the Polytrack mile on Sunday.

There were plenty of strong winners in Singapore over the weekend and one of those was Special King on Sunday who took out the Class 3 over 1100m on the Polytrack.

Sky Rocket has been racing in terrific form this campaign and he looks well suited when he lines up in the Class 3 over 1400m at Kranji tonight.

Trainer Stephen Gray was looking forward to seeing a smart pair of four-year-olds of his race at Friday night’s meeting, but a virus will see him saddle only one in the end – Sky Rocket.
