Let's Make Adeal has taken out the Bart Cummings Stakes at Flemington and booked herself a ticket into the Melbourne Cup in the process.

Let's Make Adeal locked in her spot in the Melbourne Cup by storming away from the Bart Cummings field to win impressively.

Our Ivanhowe ran second and Hawkspur returned to form with a good third in a competitive race with the ticket to the Melbourne Cup ensuring that the big field ran along at strong tempo.

Race favourite Foundry was easy in the betting and failed to fire after seemingly travelling sweetly inside runners in midfield.

"We've tried the last few years to get her in to the Cup. This time we have her there," said trainer Nigel Blackiston.

The Melbourne Cup will now be the main focus for the mare but Blackiston indicated that she would likely run again between now and then.
