It is seventh versus eighth at GIO Stadium and both sides will be out to pick up a crucial two points.

The Roosters will still have their eyes on going all the way and winning the 2024 NRL grand final, but are currently eight points behind ladder-leaders, Cronulla Sharks.

Canberra are targeting the top eight and remain on track with six wins from 10 games.

Meanwhile, Parramatta Eels will also play their first game since the departure of head coach Brad Arthur when they take on the Rabbitohs.

Souths have won just one game all season but have been boosted by the news Wayne Bennett has signed a three-year deal to return as coach from next season.

For now the aim is to get off the bottom of the ladder and they need to beat the Eels.

Raiders back on track

. What: Canberra Raiders v Sydney Roosters
. Where: GIO Stadium, Canberra
. When: 15:00 (AEST), Saturday 25th May 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: Canberra Raiders 4.20, Sydney Roosters 1.23

Canberra were looking shaky following heavy losses against the Broncos and Sharks, conceding 74 points in the process.

However they have bounced back well with wins over the Sea Eagles and Bulldogs, and will be out to make it three in a row.

Both wins were by no more than four points and they can be backed at 9.00 to beat the Roosters by 1-5 points.

They also go well against the Roosters at GIO Stadium, winning six of the last eight games against them.

The Roosters had won three on the bounce until they were stopped in their tracks against the Sharks.

Dominic Young will be key to them bouncing back. The winger has six tries in the last four games and is 6.00 to score the first of the game.

Walker blow for Bunnies

. What: South Sydney Rabbitohs v Parramatta Eels
. Where: Accor Stadium, Sydney
. When: 19:35 (AEST), Saturday 25th May 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: South Sydney Rabbitohs 2.00, Parramatta Eels 1.82

South Sydney have suffered a big blow as they target just their second win of the season, with the news Cody Walker will miss out through injury.

Souths have won six of their last seven games against Parramatta, but are struggling with form and confidence in 2024.

Indeed they have won just one game out of the last eight at Accor Stadium. They can be backed at 3.40 to win this one by 1-12 points.

They will look to winger Alex Johnston to get among the tries, and he is 7.00 to score the first or 1.77 to score at anytime.

The Eels will look to Maika Sivo, who has eight tries in his last 11 games at Accor Stadium, to do the same, and the powerful winger is 6.50 to strike first.
