There is just two points separating Brisbane in 13th place, and the Saints, who sit one spot below them on the ladder.

Brisbane showed signs of their best form when they smashed the Western Bulldogs on their own turf last week, but there is still work to be done.

Chris Fagan's side are still priced at 13.00 to go on and match last season's achievement of reaching the grand final.

St Kilda are 51.00 to do the same, but making the top eight and playing finals would be seen as a big achievement for Ross Lyon's men.

However four points on Friday night would see them jump above the Lions and make it three wins on the spin.

Hipwood shines as Lions Roar back

Brisbane put the disappointing defeat against Hawthorn well behind them as they beat the Western Bulldogs by 42 points on Friday night.

It means the Lions have now lost just one game in the last five and are six points behind the top eight.

Another win over St Kilda could edge them closer to finals, and they will fancy their chances on home soil.

The Gabba has not been the fortress it usually is this season, however they have won the last two home games against Richmond and Gold Coast.

When the two sides met in Brisbane last season, it was a close one, with the Lions winning by just 12 points.

It could be a close one again and Brisbane are priced at 6.50 to win by 1-12 points.

Eric Hipwood was in great form against the Bulldogs when booting six goals in the game.

It was an equal career-high effort by the forward, who will look to carry that form into the Saints clash.

He can be backed at 12.00 to boot the first goal of the game.

Lachie Neale was also outstanding in the win with 38 disposals and two goals. He is priced at 2.85 to score at anytime.

Saints find some form

It has been a tough season for St Kilda but they have shown some form in the last couple of weeks when picking up back-to-back wins.

The wins over the Gold Coast and West Coast have kept their finals hopes alive, but they could do with another at the Gabba.

A 14-point win over the Eagles in Perth should give them some confidence on the road, but a trip to Brisbane represents a tough challenge.

They have lost the last three games against the Lions and are priced at 7.50 to cause an upset and win by 1-12 points.

Dan Butler booted three goals against the Suns and is 17.00 to kick the first on Friday or 1.62 to score at anytime.
