With two seconds at stakes level leading into this, ultra consistent Noire gets her maiden stakes win and is building a nice record, now seven wins and five seconds in 15 starts. She dropped back to the rear early and was two lengths last passing the 1000m. Jockey Tommy Berry waited until the 500m to get going yet was still last but widest starting the run home. She accelerated quickly from the 300m, ranged alongside the leaders at the 100m and was travelling best at the line by a long neck. Kingsguard had a lovely run, one out and one back turning in, challenged to co-lead at the 200m, led alone briefly then kept fighting for a good second. Youngstar was unlucky, well back turning in (rails) and didn't see daylight until late, threading between runners to finish well for third from Arbeitsam who led to the 150m but kept on well to hold fourth.
