Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for April 10.
TERANG: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM
ANGEL ROCK (8) has upgraded her form since getting to 2000m plus this time in with a city win and pair of placings behind recent Group 2 winner Nerve Not Verve and Yonce who is destined for better races. She looks the one they have to beat from a forward position in the run. BEDFORD (1) stuck to his task well last start in the Yarra Valley Cup when resuming. This trip will suit second up with added fitness and he looks well placed to run well again. GLASS WARRIOR (3) has been thereabouts in all the Tasmanian staying features over Summer and appeals each way here from an inside gate. PRINCE ZIGGY (7) will strip fitter third up and his best is good enough. Don't take lightly. SELECTION: Angel Rock looks well placed to take out the Cup.

ECHUCA: RACE 2 @ 1:45 PM
IS THIS LOVE (8) looks hard to beat. She started favourite on debut at Bendigo and closed off strongly to just miss. This looks easier and with natural improvement she should be winning. MARTHA LAVINIA (9) has run second at all three career starts last time in. She can return as a strong danger. ANDALUSIA (2) boxed on well at Kilmore last time out, finishing 4th. She should be at peak fitness and a top three finish is on the cards. ANGEL OF BOOM (3) made a strong debut at Geelong over 1100m and with that race experience under her belt she can figure in the finish. SELECTION: Is This Love to win.
PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 3 @ 2:15 PM
You'd love to own a stable full of gallopers like ROBARGE (8) who has yet to miss a drum in seven career starts. Goes well for Gibbons who has a win and a second from just two steers and this is not an overly strong affair. Bold showing expected. FREDDIE EDDIE (5) resumes here for the new stable but has won first-up before and is two from three around this circuit. Looms as the main danger. Former Victorian MISTA RAZZLEDAZZLE (6) has a good first-up record with a win and two placings from three attempts and can run a race while fresh. The very well-related ACHI BABA (4) has won over this track and trip and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. In the mix. DICKIN MEDAL (2) best of the rest. SELECTION: Robarge to win.
WAGGA: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
VERBEK (12) brought strong form to resumption placing at the provincials. He has more up the sleeve and fitter can take this out with Ryan reunited. ESPIRITO (10) won a trial and debuted as favourite at Albury finding the speedy My Bold Boy too good. Fitter for that and is worth another chance despite the sticky gate. MY BOY MO (3) will be race fit now and can improve as can RECKLESS INTENTION (4) at start number two. SELECTION: Backing Verbek.
GAWLER: RACE 5 @ 3:56 PM
SO BENE (9) looks the one to beat. She looks incredibly well placed dropping to a class 1 after running in the group 3 Lord Reims Stakes last time. Should go very close. MUG'S GAME (7) stuck on well behind Flow Meter when well in the market last time at Oakbank. Should be right on the speed and hard to get past again. BADONKIDONK (1) was sound in a similar race at Strathalbyn last time and should be at peak fitness. He's a definite top three chance. QUEBECOIS (8) closed off very strongly at Morphettville last time over 1800m and looks ready for the longer trip third up. SELECTION: So Bene to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 4:37 PM
WHITEWATER (2) resumes for the sharp Vandyke barn and has shown enough to say this is winnable with natural improvement. Has a soft draw and Maloney's booking says he's pleasing. No surprise if he's too good. FIRST PEOPLES (4) is fast and was last seen 19 days ago beaten a short-half head at Beaumont (Newcastle). Is busting to win and Stewart will give him a gun ride from the low gate. BETTER THAN EPIC (6) was tracking well before the latest when totally Was just nudged out at Doomben three back and that stacks up. PATRIOTIC KING (8) is fast and won the Maiden comfortably before switching to a top barn. Fitter and is worth a look. SELECTION: Backing Whitewater.
GERALDTON: RACE 8 @ 5:25 PM
LOVE DRUNK BABY (1) improved with racing and proved too strong last start when leading all the way at Mount Barker. He is a proven weight carrier and shouldn't be bothered by the extra one and half kilo impost today. He stays in the same class and looks the winner again. BUSH ICON (4) fought on well for third in a small field last start on this track. She saves her best for this circuit and should further improve with more racing. Include in all multiples. THE SINGING TIGER (2) had no luck two starts back and dropped out to finish last, he then made amends for that run by looking like the winner until late before running third at his last start. He has yet to miss a cheque in three starts at the distance and is worthy of respect. MASTER MOORE (9) may not be the most reliable but should appreciate the drop in class here. He is more than capable of causing an upset at big each way odds. SELECTION: Love Drunk Baby win bet.
