bet365's Pick 6 Challenge offers up another $50,000 today

Leading bookmaker bet365 are putting $50,000 on the line for any logged-in member who correctly selects the winners of six specified races across the Caulfield and Royal Randwick cards today. There are also consolation prize pools of $10,000 to be split amongst those who tip five winners and $5,000 for those who 'only' pick four.

The six featured races are outlined below with the R&S team providing pre-race previews to give you an early leg-up.

Caulfield Race 5 - Ken Sturt Handicap @ 3.40pm - 1100m

Tricky little race. Mrs Chrissie (13) ran some good races last time in and looks suited at this level. She was a dominant winner first up in Bm64 grade at Ballarat last preparation before mixing it with some decent mares. She's got good speed and will give a bold sight. Forgiving Rubicon Crossing (16) has been below her best at her past few but a return to form wouldn't shock. Margie's Boy (12) won well second up at Werribee and is in the mix.

Randwick Race 5 - TAB Handicap @ 4.00pm - 1500m

Sumo Star (8) returned in good order and close to another victory. Went out hard when a fighting third over 1400m at Warwick Farm on December 6. Gets the right run again and should prove hard to run down. Monfelicity (6) underrated mare who made up many lengths late when resumed with a solid fifth over 1400m at this track on December 16. Goes just as well second up and should get the right tempo to power late. Tympanist (2) at his top now fourth-up and hit the line late again when a long neck second over 1600m here on December 16. Another who will be doing his best work late.

Randwick Race 6 - All Too Hard @ Vinery Stud Handicap @ 4.40pm - 1000m

Border Control (4) consistent gelding with a handy win record. At his peak now and expected to go one better here after finishing a nose second over 1100m at Canterbury on December 8. Dylan Gibbons keeps the ride and best figures have him right in this. Temple Run (5) tough old gelding going nicely through his grades. Back in class when a determined nose winner over 1000m at Gosford on December 7. Maps well and this is his pet trip. Welcome Gypsy (11) only the two wins from ten starts but expecting more here after disappointing when tenth over 1200m at this track on December 9. Can take a hand in the finish.

Caulfield Race 7 - Nick Johnstone Real Estate Christmas Stakes @ 5.00pm - 1100m

Midwest (7) tried to match Taunting first-up at Cranbourne but couldn't do so, holding on for second. That horse has won again since and Midwest should strip fitter. 1100m is no issue and in with 54kg helps. Will give a big sight. Najem Suhail (2) is racing in fine form and was good in the Kensington on Wednesday at Flemington. Hard to beat again. Rose Quartz (4) is fresh for this and back slightly in trip. She broke through for a narrow win here in the G3 How Now Stakes over 1200m beating a subsequent winner. 1100m might be slightly on the sharp side but she's a good mare. Curran (6) was excellent inn the Listed Village Stakes at this track and trip last time. He'll be charging late as usual. The Astrologist (1) is the class horse back from the G1 Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot where he tried hard as usual for fifth. Has to carry 60kg but will keep kicking.

Caulfield Race 8 - Take It To The Neds Level Handicap @ 5.40pm - 1400m

Toronto Terrier (9) was a strong winner when last seen at Sandown-Lakeside, running on powerfully to score by 2 lengths despite sitting wide and against the pattern of the day. Drawn 1 here, he should get a good spot just behind the lead and drops 4.5kg. The runner up from that race won here last week. Riverplate (8) won first up in good time last preparation and can be hard to catch when he get his own way. So Risque (3) is racing well and finds a similar race to last start where he won well. Lounge Bar Rubi (7) presents third-up with each-way claims.

Randwick Race 8 - Gordon's Pink Gin Handicap @ 6.00pm - 1200m

Spring Lee (17) promising Zoustar filly chasing her third-straight victory. Resumed for second prep with a commanding 3 len victory over 1000m at Kembla Grange on December 9. Looks ready for the rise in class and trip. Will take catching from the inside draw. Soobooco (11) hard fit for this and stable is in form. Warmed up late when a gritty fourth over 1200m at Wyong on December 13. Claim helps and looks good each way value. Desiah (6) handy mare resuming from a five-month spell. Will find this easier after racing in tougher company in Victoria last time in. Goes well fresh and not that far away in a recent trial at Wyong. Look for her late. Infancy (13) returned for second prep with a wilting eighth over 1000m at Warwick Farm on December 6. Undefeated second-up and expecting a sharp form reversal today.
