bet365's Pick 6 Challenge is back with $50,000 up for grabs

Leading bookmaker bet365 are putting $50,000 on the line for any logged-in member who correctly selects the winners of six specified races across the Moonee Valley, Randwick and Doomben cards this weekend. There are also consolation prize pools of $10,000 to be split amongst those who tip five winners and $5,000 for those who 'only' pick four.

On Boxing Day we almost saw the major prize go off, with one customer picking five winners and taking home $10,000. Thirteen customers picked four winners and shared the $5,000 prize – winning $385 each.

The six featured races are outlined below with the R&S team providing pre-race previews to give you a head start.

Moonee Valley Race 7 - Racing Club Handicap @ 3.40pm - 1600m

Montather (3) is knocking on the door with three second placings in a row, the latest when racing on the speed and just being run down late at Caulfield over 1600m. Rates highly and can give a sight again. Zamborghini (1) has won two of his past three and was dominant rising to 1523m here last time out. No reason why he can't go on with it and will take beating again. Raetihi (5) is in top form with two wins on end, the latest by a neck over 1600m at this track a week ago. Has the pace and the right draw to find a good early position. Aperitivo (8) fought on for second last start over 1600m at Caulfield, beaten 2.25 lengths. Right i this based on that. Naval Seal (9) was fair first up but can improve.

Moonee Valley Race 8 - Blake Albones Memorial Handicap @ 4.20pm - 2040m

Starspangled Baby (4) is racing well and looks a bit of value here. He was second in the Traralgon Cup over 1900m two back and backed it up last time with a narrow miss over this track and distance in a stronger race. Ideally placed. Dublin Journal (7) was a smart winner at Caulfield in a Bm64 last time out. Up a notch here but must be considered again. Miss Tarzy (12) scored last start at this track to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Has a high cruising speed. Capable of testing this field. Divine Purpose (11) was just fair last time at Ballarat but has some upside and can improve. Deel Blaster (10) has claims in a wide open race.

Randwick Race 8 - Schweppes Handicap @ 4.40pm - 1100m

Afterlight (4) is a nice mare heading in the right direction. Chasing her third straight victory today after coming with a well timed run when a neck winner over 1100m at Canterbury on December 8. Looks up to this grade now from the good draw. Dollar Magic (2) tough mare who just finds one better of late. Bumped into the handy TIME TO BOOGIE when second over 1000m at this track on December 16. Finds a fairly soft Bm78 and expected to go close. Bubba's Bay (1) talented mare from the Kris Lees yard resuming. Won two-in-a-row last time in at Queensland and since fitted with two solid trials. Expected to sprint well fresh. Acappella Sun (8) smart on her day and should get the right tempo for this. Drifted back again from the wide draw before launching late when third over 1000m here in Highway company on December 16. Raced well in this grade in the past and has fitness on her side.

Randwick Race 9 - TAB Handicap @ 5.20pm - 1400m

Step Aside (11) is a promising gelding destined for bigger things. Will have little trouble in this class after being a tragedy beaten at latest with the 60kg when a close-up second over this course and distance on December 9. Maps well again and reunites Jason Collett. The one to beat. Testator Silens (9) two runs back have been full of merit and looking for this trip now. Tried hard with the 58.5kg second-up when a close fourth over 1300m here on December 23. Backs-up quickly and watch for him late.Lady Of Luxury (2) is a classy mare who went through her grades quickly last time in. Returned from a five month break with an eye catching seventh over 1200m here on December 16. Has good second-up figures and look for her late. Dynamic Impact (1) underrated sprinter who drops back in grade after running on late when ninth at this track in the LR Razorsharp over 1200m on December 9. Claim helps and look for him warming up late.

Doomben Race 8 - Magic Millions Nudgee Stakes - Listed @ 5.32pm - 1200m

Comrade Rosa (1) has been kept fresh since winning over 1200m in the Listed Tattersall's Classic at this track. Kept up to the mark with a recent Doomben trial placing. Big chance to deliver again. Lady Laguna (4) did well when resuming over 1100m at Randwick last start, finishing second and beaten 0.9 lengths. Has never missed the frame when second-up from four starts so should be better for that run. Leading chance. Parisal (2) has been kept fresh since filling a minor placing in a Listed race at Flemington over 1200m seven weeks ago. Looks to be ticking over nicely judging by a recent trial win at Rosehill. Nicely placed and should be involved in the finish. A fresh win suggests Chinny Boom (12) is back in good shape. Could measure up.

Doomben Race 9 - Magic Millions The Buffering @ 6.12pm - 1350m

Zoustyle (1) found his best with a last-start win in the G3 George Moore Stakes at this track over 1200m four weeks ago. Kept ticking over with a subsequent trial win at Doomben. Hard to beat. Tamerlane (4) was given a short break after finishing fourth over 1400m in the G2 The Damien Oliver at Flemington and that followed a Listed win. Readied with a trial win at Rosehill. Rates highly and is among the main hopes. Last-start winner Freedom Rally (17) owns a good strike rate at this distance range. Major player. Wouldn't surprise to see a better showing from Startantes (16) while The Face (8) deserves respect off a string of wins.
