Has to do it from the widest gate around Canterbury which is a big ask for any first starter and I feel the price is as short as it currently is due to the jockey booking. Some of the other fillies here have looked sharp and are drawn much better.
Canterbury: Race 8; #12 Dakota Vroom
She has won at this distance previously when first-up and was tried out to 1400m last prep. I feel this is an indication she will be better placed when stepping up in trip and with more race fitness so I am happy to risk her at the current price.
GREYHOUNDS
Geelong: Race 6; #6 Dollar Bucks
There is plenty of pace in this event. Break In may be carving over from a wide draw and Tornado Tahlia and Lyrical Lassy both have pace and want to mid track. Therefore, Dollar Bucks could get squeezed up here and I could see him finding a pile of trouble.
