bet365's Pick 6 Challenge is up $100,000 this Saturday

Leading bookmaker bet365 are putting $100,000 on the line for any logged-in member who correctly selects the winners of six specified races at the Gold Coast Magic Millions meeting this weekend. There are also consolation prize pools of $10,000 to be split amongst those who tip five winners and $5,000 for those who 'only' pick four.

Last Saturday they had 29 customers successfully pick four winners – sharing $173 each of the $5,000 minor prize.

The six featured races are outlined below with the R&S team providing pre-race previews to give you a leg-up on the form.

Gold Coast Race 4 - $1M Racing Queensland Magic Millions QTIS Open @ 2.05pm - 1300m

Rothfire (1) crossed from an outside draw last time to stalk the lead before drawing clear to win by a neck over 1200m in the King Of The Mountain at Toowoomba. Draws wide again but is the class runner so can deliver again. Hatchet (16) was heavily favoured and justified the support when resuming last start over 1200m at Doomben, running on to score by a neck. Has a strong second-up record so is among the winning hopes again. Chinny Boom (4) raced on the pace last start then boxed on well to finish second, beaten 0.8 lengths over 1200m in the Listed Nudgee Quality at Doomben. Has an impressive strike rate and won her lone third-up attempt. Situation Room (12) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by a long neck over 1050m at Doomben. Down in the weights so could to give this a shake. Steady Ready (14) must be respected after getting close to Rothfire last start.

Gold Coast Race 5 - $1M Magic Millions Subzero @ 2.40pm - 2200m

Zennzella (3) is a progressive mare who ran on and got close first up at Listed level before a win over 1700m in the Listed Lord Stakes at Caulfield last time out. Draws wider but won her lone third-up attempt so should be peaking. So United (6) is progressing well this preparation. Opened with a fifth at Canterbury two starts back then led throughout and landed the prize by 1.7 lengths last time out over 1800m at Randwick. Could prove hard to get past. Sky Lab (1) won this race last year and is building nicely again after finishing third at Randwick last start. The Vowels (13) has claims off a Listed placing two back at Eagle Farm while Deficit (16) is drawn for a soft run and makes each way appeal.

Gold Coast Race 6 - $1M Magic Millions The Syndicate @ 3.15pm - 1100m

Prince Of Boom (1) has been out of the placings in both runs since a break but his latest showed improvement when beaten 3 lengths over 1000m in the Listed Bribie Hcp at Eagle Farm. He is two from two at this track and should be peaking now so is worth following up. Golden Boom (4) is a progressive gelding with a good strike rate. Hasn't raced since July but has is proven fresh and will be ready to go off a trial win. Bossed Up (14) is on the up having won both starts this in, impressing by more than 3 lengths over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start. Could take the next step. Derry Grove (5) resumes after putting together a string of wins last time in and draws well. Has a strong fresh record and was readied with a trial win. Baroque Road (6) gets blinkers on and is suited back in trip so can bounce back.

Gold Coast Race 8 - $3M The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic @ 4.35pm - 1200m

Storm Boy (1) is a colt of good promise having impressed as an odds on favourite in both starts. He led and kicked away to score well on debut at Rosehill then headed north for an easy win in the G3 McLachlan Stakes at Eagle Farm. Draws wider but has the speed to get across so rates on top. Arabian Summer (8) is a filly in form at the right time, making it back-to-back wins when too strong here last week. Race fit and can be in the finish again. Highness (4) has been kept fresh since his resuming win in the Magic Millions Wyong Classic but has been kept up to the mark with a trial win. Lightly raced with plenty of upside. Spywire (2) has yet to put a foot wrong and led throughout here last week. Contender with McDonald going on. Parkour (3) impressed when running on to win last start at Randwick and has scope for further improvement.

Gold Coast Race 9 - $3M Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas @ 5.20pm - 1400m

Abounding (13) is a smart filly who proved too good for the boys last time when a fighting winner of the Listed Gold Edition Plate at Eagle Farm. Tackles the longer trip for the first time but should be at her peak fourth up. Chrysaor (2) closed well for resuming second in a G3 at Doomben. Races well second up so should be improved and gets McDonald on board. Strong claims. Cifrado (1) appreciated the step up in trip for a fast-finishing win over Chrysaor in the Vo Rogue Plate last start. That saw him unbeaten at this distance range so could back that up. Royal Tribute (4) is a progressive colt who should be improved after leading throughout for a fresh win in the Gosford Guineas. The unbeaten Sydney Bowler (10) faces his toughest test but winning form must be respected.

Gold Coast Race 10 - $1M Jewel Magic Millions Cup @ 5.55pm - 1400m

Zarastro (5) is flying with five wins and a second from his last six starts, most recently leading throughout to score by close to 2 lengths over 1200m in the Listed Falvelon Quality at Eagle Farm. Steps up in trip but won his only previous attempt and while he draws wide he has the speed to get across. Take beating. Far Too Easy (2) was impressive in a resuming win by 4.4 lengths over this distance in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes at Eagle Farm. His second-up form is strong boasting three wins from four starts and goes well at the track and trip. Big threat. Tamerlane (1) scored at his most recent appearance by 0.9 lengths over 1350m at Doomben. That continued the good form with two wins from his last three outings. Among the leading players. Loch Eagle (3) enjoyed a big payday when he scored by a head over 1600m in the G2 The Ingham at Randwick. Has recorded a string of wins and placings so must respect. Semana (12) races well second-up so include.
