Clara Tauson was the player that came closest to knocking off Jelena Ostapenko in Linz last week, taking her right to the brink, and even serving for the match. She will have taken a lot of confidence from the week of tennis overall, and her short to medium term formlines are starting to look a little stronger. She gets Podoroska here, who will find herself outgunned in this match-up on the indoor hardcourt. It's hard to make a strong case for her in this one.

ATP MARSEILLE – SHEVCHENKO VS BONZI
Another player who pushed an eventual title winner to go the distance last week was Shevchenko, who just couldn't get over the line against Bublik in what was a tricky match-up. This one looks to be a little more favourable, and although Bonzi is playing in front of his home crowd, his 7 match losing streak leaves a little to be desired when you consider he is only a slight underdog and Shevchenko has played some decent indoor hardcourt tennis in the last 6 months in particular.
Betting Strategy
BACK: Shevchenko to defeat Bonzi (1 unit recorded at $1.73)
WTA CLUJ-NAPOCA – BAI VS MARIA
I don't think the three set loss to Volynets last week looks to be the worst form when comparing the recent form of both players in this one. Bai has struggled a touch with stepping up to the WTA level and playing consistent tennis, and her wins this year leave a little to be desired. More than comfortable to step into the moneyline price here for Maria considering the form of both players.

BACK: Maria to defeat Bai (1.25 units recorded at $1.70)
WTA ABU DHABI – OSTAPENKO VS WATSON
Ostapenko is one of the in-form players of the WTA, however she looks a little too short here on the quick back-up from her title in Linz. Even if this match ends up being played on Wednesday, the sheer volume of tennis Ostapenko has played in the early parts of the year in both singles and doubles leaves her a little vulnerable here first up. Happy to take Watson at the longer odds.
