WTA ABU DHABI – KASATKINA VS KRUEGER
Looking through the bulk of the recent short to medium term form from Daria Kasatkina, and you get the feeling that Ashlyn Krueger is going to get her fair share of opportunities in this match. Kasatkina's return game is incredibly solid, however her own serve does leave her exposed regularly. Krueger did a terrific job through qualifying and overcame a mid-match lapse in round 1 against Pera. I think she is right in this one, and I'm happy to lay Kasatkina 2-0 set betting and take Krueger to win as well.
Betting Strategy
BACK: Krueger to defeat Kasatkina (0.5 units recorded at $3)
LAY: Kasatkina 2-0 set betting vs Krueger at $2.16 (0.75 unit liability to win 0.65 units)
ATP MARSEILLE – HUMBERT VS GASTON
Humbert never seems to bring his best tennis in Australia, so he should thoroughly enjoy the return to familiar surroundings on the indoor in Marseille. He gets Gaston here, who knocked off Shapovalov in 3 sets yesterday, however lacks the consistency in his game to be able to gain ascendancy in this type of match-up on the indoor Marseille conditions. Humbert at the line for me.
Betting Strategy
BACK: Humbert -3.5 games vs Gaston (1.25 units recorded at $1.78)
ATP DALLAS – HIJIKATA VS QUINN
I am not too concerned by the Hijikata loss to Jasika in the Burnie Challenger last week, and it has allowed the Aussie more time to get from Tasmania to Dallas to tackle the ATP level tournament this week. Put simply, I have Hijikata rated closer to $1.50 in this contest given the level Quinn has displayed over the short to medium term.
Betting Strategy
BACK: Hijikata to defeat Quinn (1.5 units recorded at $1.67)
ATP CORDOBA – CORIA VS RAMOS
It was nice to see Albert Ramos back on the winners list in round 1, where he defeated Cachin in 3 sets. Things get a little tougher for him here though, with Federico Coria thriving in the Cordoba conditions. Coria looked very solid in his run to the Piracicaba Challenger final last week, and backed it up with a strong win over Altmaier in round 1. In conditions more suited to him, and knowing he won't be blasted off the court by a far more powerful opponent, Coria looks to be the play here.
Betting Strategy
BACK: Coria to defeat Ramos (1.5 units recorded at $1.70)
