Wentworth Park Tips And Selection For Friday 9th Of February

3 minute read

And the weekend begins early punters as we investigate tonight's meeting at Wentworth Park. A great Friday night at Glebe headquarters for the pan lickers. We have done all the form work and analysis for you as we endeavour to provide three greyhounds worth following this evening. So pens at the ready and eyes down as we give you our three best for Wentworth Park.

Best Bet - Race 6 Ladbrokes Odd Surge 8.49pm No 7 You Never Lose @ $1.55 Fixed Odds Sportsbet

You Never Lose trained by astute trainer Michelle Sultana is nicely graded in this moderate race. The son of Superior Panama has had 7 starts for 3 wins and 4 seconds with a personal best here of 29.86 for the 520 metre journey. He finished a very gallant second at Wentworth Park in the Group One Derby at $21 on the 20th January when drawing box 8 and missing the kick terribly. There is no History's Coming in this race nor any other greyhound capable of running that time. As long as he amends his box manners he should prove way too sharp for all of his opponents.

Best Each Way - Race 5 @wentworthparkgreyhounds 8.27pm No 8 Anita Keroma @ $3 Fixed Odds Sportsbet

Anita Keroma finds herself in a very ordinary race. Although her own form has been moderate she is normally quick away from the boxes and verse all runners in the field she has a half second in way of time over her nearest rival. This is her fourth run since a let up and her 29.93 personal best here should be too good for the others. Only concern is she might be looking for longer now but if she is anywhere near them down the back she should be too good.

Best Roughie - Race 2 Pbd Ladbroke it! 1-2 Win 7.27pm No 5 Boston Banner @ $8.50 Fixed Odds Sportsbet

Boston Banner is the son of noted middle distance and talented stayer Blue Moon Rising. His career stats clearly showing what the dog is capable of yet at this point still hasn't produced. 16 starts for 2 wins with 8 minor placings. He was a moral beaten last start at Gosford over the 603 metres when looming on the leaders before he was interfered with and lost all momentum. Like all of the Banner breed who are bred to be strong if he is close enough down the back many of the runners here will be looking nervously in the back mirror as he is a noted strong finisher. Great value at the each way odds and placed 3 of 7 at Wentworth Park.
