THOROUGHBREDS

Cranbourne: Race 1; #2 Secret Stones 

Stronly against Secret Stones, who was no match for the talented Brier last start, who is a talent but he has been beaten by weaker opposition in the past also. He is a pack chaser to my eye and this is a decent race.

Spellmaster was good at Pakenham, back on the home track and fitter second-up are both positives. Double Glazed has been gelded, jumped out well and the Sandhu stable is flying.

Rockhampton: Race 4; #8 Sombor Shuffle 

Although this is a poor maiden race, Sombor Shuffle has not produced any performances of note in her short career. She was a massive price last start and based on this I am happy to risk her at the current price in this field.

GREYHOUNDS

Shepparton: Race 1; #7 Bushman's Damper 

Given there are some unknowns in this race, only a small Lay bet on Bushman's Damper because I'm not certain he is genuine. He shows early place but whether he wants to go on with it and win the jury is out. He will be short enough to justify a Lay bet.

HARNESS

Mildura: Race 6; #6 Victory George 

I think he races best when can lead. I think there is too much speed under him tonight and cannot see him finding the top. As such will have to work very hard to win and some some opportunist types in the race that would be too strong late if i have the map correct.
