TRIAL POINTERS

RANDWICK June 21: THE MAXINATOR ran away with his 1080m trial by 4.6 lengths in the quickest of the 2YO heats (63.70; 33.90). Looked good to the eye but the warning is this was his first win in five trials.

ROSEHILL June 18: Winning Rupert filly RUPERTAAR went into our trial file when she won a Gosford heat in February. This was her fourth trial and she is ready to make an impact on debut after cruising through her gears for an impressive 5.5 lengths win in the fastest 2YO heat over 900m (54.90; 35.41). The fast runner SUPERBELLAA was all speed winning the quickest 900m heat (54.79; 35.99).

HAWKESBURY June 15: Sebring filly SILENT TRYST has won two of her six starts and looks set to build on that record after a sharp first-up trial win over 1000m. Sat outside the lead before extending easily to run away a soft win in the fastest 1000m heat (60.77; 34.03).

RANDWICK June 8: Unraced Deep Field filly SNEAKY PAIGE was having her second trial and did it well to win the fastest heat over 1045m (62.94; 35.70). The speed was on from the jump and she settled kindly in second, sitting two lengths off the leader before responding well when called on for an effort. John O'Shea's promising 2YO I AM LETHAL recorded his second trial win with a sharp effort in his 1045m heat (64.25; 36.23) to back up his earlier trial win over 800m (48.87; 35.99) on May 31.

ROSEHILL February 11: Capitalist colt CLEMENCEAU confirmed the promise he displayed in his first trial win at Warwick Farm on February 1. Always had control of his 900m heat to record a fast 54.01 (34.81) and had plenty in reserve holding off the experienced DIRECT with a big gap to the rest.
