ROSEHILL MULTI

RACE 8: (13) WICKLOW: Promising import is going from strength to strength and is again well placed to extend his unbeaten sequence in Australia. It's his toughest test but his three wins have been arrogant and point to him rising to something much better next season. The weight advantage he holds over his main rivals and his confident performances in soft and heavy going over this course and distance at his last starts justifies his short price.

RACE 10 (9) STEEL DIAMOND: Strong trials preceded her excellent debut for the Chris Waller stable over 1200m at Randwick on June 12 when she put in her best work late for a close second to the in-form Gravina on a slow track. Must be fitter and she's well placed to improve off her Randwick effort as she boasts a second up win over this course and distance on a heavy track. Safe each way play as her best performances have been on seriously affected tracks.

TRIAL POINTERS

WYONG June 25: Locally-trained JUST FIELD was responsible for an excellent open heat win over 845m, looping the field from the rear with a sustained sprint over the last 400m to record the fastest time over the distance (51.14; 36.35).

WARWICK FARM June 25: CAPRI LANE led and had no trouble holding his rivals to win the open heat over 740m in good time (43.23; 23) with a nice effort from WANDER to finish second after covering a lot ground. On pace is the norm in synthetic trials and the pattern was set in the first heat when the Joe Pride stablemates INVINCIANO and TITANIUM POWER dominated the quicker of the two 1175m heats from the front (70.14; 34.69).

RANDWICK June 21: YARDSTICK posted the fastest win in the 1080m heats (63.10; 33.59) with some good work over the last 600m.
