Polytrack (Synthetic) – 2 x 1080m (1 Open; 1 2YO); 1 x 780m (Open)
Another session featuring classy autumn contenders in three black type heats on the course proper plus a pipe opener for crack sprinter Eduardo in an open heat on the A Grass.
BOUND TO WIN (Peter & Paul Snowden): Really like the way this mare is going in preparation for her return after a long break. This was her second trial and after being quietly ridden at the rear in her 1050m heat (64.07; 34.27) she was taken widest at the 400m by Tommy Berry to work home over the top of her rivals for soft win under a kind ride. Expect her to perform boldly fresh.
CONVERGE (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): The JJ Atkins winner showed the benefit of a placing in a recent Gosford trial to post an impressive win in the 1000m black type heat on the course proper (60.59; 35.27). Travelled kindly in midfield before zig zagging his way through the pack and surging to the line when clear for a sharp win by almost three lengths. Most of his rivals were put under pressure, the exception being nice work from the quality mare MORE PROPHETS for a soft third.
Impressive work from Group 1 winner Converge to win a trial at Randwick on Monday, finishing strongly to beat @GaiWaterhouse1 & Adrian Bott stablemate Tilianam with More Prophets in third. @tabcomau pic.twitter.com/TkAqLOI0Rr

LOST AND RUNNING (John O'Shea): Class act was in good form for his first trial since November, winning the second of the two black type heats over 900m in slightly slower time (54.14; 34.42) than the speedster MALKOVICH (53.99; 34.52) in the other 900m heat. Hugh Bowman allowed him to work into the trial three and four wide from the 600m before he extended nicely under no pressure to get the better of the leaders over the last 200m, going through the line with plenty in hand. Nice trials behind him from the Godolphin pair ARCADED and KALLOS.

MALKOVICH showed his usual speed to lead easily from a wide gate in his 900m heat and had too much pace for his rivals over the short course. MINHAAJ was the one to make the best impression late for second while a line of six hit the line together with PAULELE and MARBOOSHA the pair taking the eye under easy rides and CASCADIAN given a quiet time before getting into his work over the last 100m.
The speedy @BBakerRacing sprinter Malkovich leads all the way to win a 900m trial at Randwick on Monday over Minhaaj with Heresy in third. Also in this heat are Cascadian, Paulele and Never Been Kissed. @tabcomau pic.twitter.com/SWFo90AmA2

EDUARDO was in similar form in his 743m trial, jumping to the front and controlling the speed under a big hold. There was little pressure applied by his rivals and that left him to work well within himself with a lot to offer. His time was reasonable (44.09; 33.14) as it was obvious he could have gone a lot quicker if given rein.
Too fast, too classy! @PrideRacing's Eduardo, third in the #TABEverest and Classique Legend Stakes winner, wins a trial at Randwick on Monday from Flash Point and Le Lude. @tabcomau pic.twitter.com/BjXG7LP9wa

The fastest 743m heat win was recorded by the visiting 2YO filly XTRAVAGANT STAR from the Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable. A Geelong winner on debut, she jumped and was all speed over the short course in quick time (43.55; 33.00). The runner-up MISS FABERGE surged late from off the speed for an impressive second. BUNDEENA was another youngster taking the eye as she worked home nicely.

The fastest 1050m heat on the A Grass saw a last to first finish by the good mare LA GAI SOLEIL (63.72; 34.81), a fast pace set by the speedy STOICAL settting her up to surge to the line in the last 100m.
The only 2YO heat over 1050m saw the Snowden stable provide all seven runners. The winner TO HIS CREDIT (64.60; 35.31) ridden up to get the better of the pacy ELENI, an unraced Epaulette filly with good prospects. The spring winner CALGARY STAMPEDE was keen early when restrained behind the pace and was then given an easy time over the last 200m.
