TRIAL POINTERS FOR FEBRUARY 16

ROSEHILL February 10: DASHING LEGEND has made good progress in each of her three trials with this slick heat win showing she has benefitted from her earlier experiences. Was always in control and never extended to win her 900m heat in good time (54.87; 35.07).

RANDWICK February 7: The unraced ALPHA ONE produced the best 2YO trial of the session winning his first trial over 735m in the fastest time (43.30; 33.42) of the morning. The Super One colt jumped straight into the bridle to lead and was strong through the line under a kind ride.

WARWICK FARM February 4: Unraced Shalaa colt SHA OF GOMER was ridden for speed and showed good improvement in his third trial to win the 2YO heat over 900m (53.41; 34.48).

ROSEHILL January 31: The fastest time in the five 2YO heats over 900m (53.89; 34.84) was recorded by the Mark Newnham-trained SEVEN VEILS, an unraced Shalaa filly who went into the blackbook when she won her first trial in the spring. She is possessed with ample natural speed that makes her a ready type for a short course juvenile race.

RANDWICK January 13: MONEY FROM THE SKY's return trial points to him putting a maiden win on the board. Settled back and worked to the line in great style under a quiet ride for a close third in his 1080m heat. STOICAL has recorded all his three wins over 1000m and looks a good prospect for more success in restricted short course sprints after winning the fastest 780m heat of the morning (45.55; 32.64) with something in hand. Tracked wide from the start but Tommy Berry always had him under a strong hold.

RANDWICK October 29: The fastest time in the six 735m heats was posted by the Mark Newnham-trained juvenile filly SEVEN VEILS (43.79; 33.80). She chased keenly to get the better of the leader and the form out of this trial is strong, producing the twice city winner Lady Laguna.
