RANDWICK KENSINGTON June 14

Best Bets

RACE 5 (7) FAWKNER PARK: Lightly raced 4YO import has been quick to stamp himself as a horse capable of ripping through the local grades. Made his Australian debut with a super last to first win in a BM64 over 1500m at Kembla Grange then went north to easily put away a C3 field over 2040m at Doomben when he never came off the bit carrying 59kg. With only five career starts behind him, including e a 2400m win in Ireland, he holds ample scope to continue his improvement with his figures easily good enough for this class.

RACE 7 (12) ZOUMON: Good front runner made a pleasing return when beaten only a nose over 1800m at this course in a BM94 won by Mach Schnell. While taking on this tougher black type event he drops 2kg to the limit weight and ticks a lot of boxes as he has won three of his four starts at 2000m and is two from three when second up including a six lengths win over 2040m at Moonee Valley under 61kg. Reunites with expert pace rider Tim Clark and will have an edge if the pattern suits the on speed runners as he seems certain to dictate from the front.

RACE 9 (4) SPACE TRACKER: This import was heavily supported when making his Australian debut in a BM72 over 1400m at this course two weeks ago when a close third under 58.5kg. Sure to be fitter and while stepping up to a BM78 he is down 2.5kg with the advantage of a 3kg claim for talented young rider Jett Stanley. He won three of his six starts in the UK and you have to respect the results this stable is achieving with their imports.

For Value

RACE 1: (2) CAP FERRAT returns from a Listed placing over 1500m in Brisbane and has a slight weight call over the topweight off that performance. Back to 1400m may not be ideal but ratings say he should be closer to his favoured stablemate Tutta La Vita in the market, bearing in mind that both are still maidens.

RACE 2: (22) MISS FABERGE has been out of luck in her recent provincial placings under big weights and is nicely placed dropping 5kg off her last start second at Newcastle when beaten by a promising import. Rates well enough in an open race.

RACE 3: (4) ZARU should have won when resuming over 1100m at this course two weeks ago. Boasts strong course and distance stats and stays on the same weight.

RACE 4: (3) ADJOURN won up to 2000m in the UK and has hit his straps in his second Australian prep, improving off an unlucky Scone placing to win easily over 1600m at Gosford under 59.5kg. Ready for this step up in distance with the advantage of a claim for Dylan Gibbons.

RACE 6: (7) FIRE AND ICE found his form to win easily over 1100m at Wyong and can bring that form to town where his race fitness may prove a key factor against numerous rivals resuming from spells.

RACE 8: (14) ANAGAIN rates well in an open affair for her own sex, dropping 4kg from her latest Warwick Farm effort where she did well for a close fourth after a tough wide run. Her placings in strong form races over 1200m at this course in her two previous starts sees her well placed on the limit weight.

RACE 10: (6) GRACILISTYLA should have gone close when a resuming fourth over 1400m at this course two weeks as he had no clear running over the last 100m. Back to 1300m but the top stable may have made the right choice as the dual acceptor is well placed in this company on his best form.
