A couple of nice winter prospects should emerge from this session.
KESHANA (Michael Freedman): Imported mare had a good record of two wins and three placings from seven starts in France and looks ready for her local debut after another eye catching effort in her second trial. She won her first trial against two rivals over 740m at Randwick on June 13 and backed that up with a strong third in her open heat over 743m (44.29; 33.95), working nicely through the line with plenty to offer.
SUNBORN (Edward Cummings): Talented 5YO mare recorded a big win in the fastest 1040m heat (62.84; 34.04) in her second trial since she won at Canterbury in January. She opened up a big lead with ease and kept running smoothly to cruise home by more than six lengths in a heat of some depth that featured last start winners DEVIL'S THROAT (2nd) and STROMBUS (4th) both keeping up their fitness levels with nice work over the last 100m.

The 2YO trials saw several handy trials from likely types for midweek and provincial events. The quickest 1040m heats were won by STAR BLAZER (63.46; 35.08) and SPARKS FLYING (63.69; 35.45) while John O'Shea's unraced Deep Field filly CROSS YOUR HEART found the line in style to win her first trial over 743m in good time (43.85; 33.63).
The Chris Waller stable has several promising types take the eye with easy trials including the previously noted CABALLUS, McHALE, NOBLE CONQUEROR (ex CONQUEROR) and ZAKIYYA.
