TRIAL POINTERS
HAWKESBURY July 17: Strong work by the well performed mare BANANA QUEEN to finish third in the fastest heat over 1000m (60.09; 34.09). John O'Shea's maiden runner AMRAP looks ready to win after putting in impressive work over the last 200m to win his 800m heat in fast time (47.77; 33.04).
RANDWICK July 14: Unraced Pierro colt LES VAMPIRES kept intact his unbeaten record in two trials, again showing he is a natural runner to lead and sprint clear for an easy win in his 1050m heat in sharp time (63.65; 34.72). Among the older heat winners the lightly raced PINK CASHMERE, an I Am Invincible filly from the Maher/Eustace team with one win from four starts in Victoria, looked sharp sprinting home fast to win the quickest 1050m heat (63.20; 34.53) after standing the leaders a big start.
WYONG July 10: Godolphin youngster STANISLAUS had impressed in an earlier city trial and confirmed that form with a strong win in his 1000m heat (61.96; 36.20)
ROSEHILL July 4: Talented Lonhro 4YO HIGH PLATEAU should take plenty of improvement from his strong fourth in his first trial since April, travelling wide in his 900m heat won by SILENTSAR (56.97; 36.61) and not asked for a serious effort as he held his ground well over the last 200m. H's only had the three starts for two wins and has the look of a horse ready to climb the classes.
RANDWICK June 30: The fastest 1040m heat (62.84; 34.04) featured last start winner STROMBUS (4th) keeping up the fitness levels with nice work over the last 100m.
