Top class pair PERICLES and BELLA NIPOTINA made the trip to Wyong for tick over trials to help fit them for their programs.
PERICLES had only two rivals in the only heat over 1200m with Nash Rawiller bypassing the 2YO trials at Randwick to ride the Godolphin 4YO in the trial that was nothing more than an exercise gallop for the gelding.
They walked through the trial with Rawiller holding PERICLES down to a working gallop as he gained the upper hand over the last 100m. They went so slowly that the winners of the heats over 1000m were running between 16 and 18 seconds quicker than his pedestrian time (76.32; 34.83).

BELLA NIPOTINA is a G1 star but she also had nothing more than a day out as Louise Day restrained her at the rear in her 845m heat won by CLOUDLAND in moderate time (51.09; 34.23).
BELLA NIPOTINA was eager to run but Day never released the brakes at any stage with the mare going through the line unextended 3.5 lengths from the winner. The big grey MUCH MUCH BETTER jogged beside CLOUDLAND over the last 200m and could have easily won the trial if asked for a serious effort.
BAROSSA ROSA trialled strongly to post the fastest win in the 1000m heats (58.39; 34.06) while the lightly raced maiden JAMAKIN MONEY was impressive clocking the fastest 845m heat win (50.05; 33.85).
Mark down SHADOWS OF LOVE, a soft winner of her open heat over 1000m in good time (58.92; 33.81), and SIZZLING BOY, an unraced 5YO gelding who looks to have plenty of ability after easily winning his first ever trial over 845m (50.74; 34.63), as other notable prospects from this set.
