TRIAL POINTERS
RANDWICK October 20: Zoustar filly MUMBAI MUSE is still a maiden after five starts but has a G2 placing in the Furious Stakes on her record and has had a month to freshen since her last start in the G2 Tea Rose. Looks ready for what lies ahead after cruising home in her 742m heat (43.49; 33.21), extending nicely from off the pace to run past the leader with strong work over the last 100m. In a fast heat over 1045m (62.28; 34.27) the runner-up CHRYSAOR impressed with his late work and looks close to a win.
HAWKESBURY October 16: The Gerald Ryan/Sterling Alexiou 2YO GAI'S ARTIST showed nice promise to win juvenile heat over 800m (47.30; 32.71).
ROSEHILL October 13: In the fastest heat over 1030m (63.43; 35.83) the lightly raced Not A Single Doubt mare SPEYMALT took the eye with her impressive third in her first trial since July. Other maidens worth noting are BROKERAGE and JUST EASY. The open heat over 1030m was won in good style by the quality filly TUTTA LA VITA (63.75; 34.99). She led comfortably and had plenty in hand through the line.
WARWICK FARM October 9: Promising filly WATERSKI showed nice improvement from her race debut to win her heat over 789m in one of the fastest times of the morning (45.63; 32.89). Showed talent to travel strongly behind the lead pair before peeling off their backs and running past them like a future winner. Speed runners dominated the short course maiden heats with a smart win over 789m by RAGGA RAGGA (45.81; 33.19).
RANDWICK October 6: Lightly raced maiden VANQUISHED posted the quickest heat win over 1045m (62.05; 34.09), his good work over the last 400m a sure sign he is ready to improve on the form he has shown in his two career starts to date.
ROSEHILL October 3: The fastest 1030m heat on the inside grass was won by the maiden runner NARCISSIST (62.52; 35.54). The fastest 900m trial was won by the maiden CAPTAIN EAGLE (54.19; 35.01) in a heat where the closing third by INVADER ZIM made an impression.
WARWICK FARM September 25: An impressive piece of work by maiden filly YUKAN ROSE to win her 808m heat with authority. Sat outside the leader and while the time was standard for the session (48.26; 34.80) there was a lot to like about the way she extended to put the trial to bed over the last 150m.
