Emerging European stallion to call Queensland home for Australian breeding season.

Aquis Farm as announced an exciting addition to its stallion roster on the eve of the 2022 Australian breeding season with former European star Aclaim to take up residence in Queensland.

The son of leading European sire Acclamation and the Danroad mare Aris, Aclaim will stand at a fee of $24,200 with his book limited to just 100 mares.

More than half of those spots have already been allocated with dual Group 1 winner Loving Gaby and Tallow, the dam of Golden Slipper winner Farnan, to be covered by him.

Aclaim won his only start as a two-year-old, was a Group 2 winner over seven furlongs (1408m) at three and retired after winning the Group 1 Prix de la Foret (1400m) in France at his final start as a four-year-old.

"This is a massive coup for Aquis and the Australian breeding industry," said Aquis Director of Sales, Jonathan Davies.

"Aclaim is a proven Group 1 sire with massive upside. He is on sharp upward trajectory to be one of the leading stallions in Britain.

"He's already the sire of a proper Group 1 classic winner, Cachet and one of the most exciting speed horses in Europe, the unbeaten Royal Aclaim.

"With large numbers of progeny still to run, it's anyone's guess what he will have achieved when the first of Aclaim's Australian-bred progeny hit the sales."

Cachet, who is out of the Teofilo mare Poyle Soiphie, won the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in May this year, while Aclaim's daughter Royal Aclaim took her record to three wins from as many starts with a resounding Listed win over 1000m at York last Saturday.
