Scenic Lodge stallion suffers a broken back leg

Scenic Lodge stallion Snippetson (Snippets) broke a back leg, when coming in for breakfast on Monday morning and had to be euthanised. The stallion was 21.

"For something so straightforward as a little stumble to take his life is hard to get your head around," Scenic Lodge General Manager Jeremy Smith said.  "I would like to thank everyone that has supported Snippetson since he relocated to us from Widden Stud.

"And a massive thanks to all our staff who cared and loved him so much especially our Stud Manager Kristy Reynolds who had an incredible bond with Snippy."

Originally based at Widden Stud, Snippetson has sired 15 stakes winners to date, his last coming in December when his Stephen Miller-trained daughter Sniparoochy won the Listed Jungle Miss Classic (1200m).

He has 15 lot catalogued for next month's Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale.
