Gai Waterhouse has loaded the bases in her quest to land a maiden Blue Diamond trophy, entering more runners than any stable.

The champion trainer, who operates in partnership with Adrian Bott, paid up for 110 juveniles for the $2 million Group 1, which will next year be run on February 24.

Among the entries from Tulloch Lodge is the first foal from Sunlight, a $1.4 million Magic Millions yearling who is by last season's leading first-season sire Justify, and a sister to the Magic Millions winner and Golden Slipper placegetter.

The latter, a daughter of Zoustar, cost $2.6 million at Magic Millions, bettered only by the $2.7m colt by I Am Invincible out of Anaheed, who was one of 87 nominations for another Hall of Fame trainer yet to win a Blue Diamond, Chris Waller.

The Inglis Easter Sale-topper, a $1.8m filly by The Autumn Sun from Via Africa, making her a half-sister to In The Congo, is also among Waller's entries, along with a brother to Golden Slipper winner Estijaab and a half-sister to The Everest winner Yes Yes Yes.

Annabel Neasham also had 87 entries, while Godolphin has 98 live chances- including a half-sister to Anamoe named Blue Willow, two more than Ciaron Maher & David Eustace, while Lindsay Park Racing has 91 nominations.

Among Lindsay Park's entries is a Russian Revolution half-sister to this year's Blue Diamond hero, Little Brose.

Among the other well-related types are Royal Insignia, a brother to 2018 Blue Diamond winner Written By who is also trained by Grahame Begg, and Winx's Michael Freedman-trained half-sister Taleitaki.

I Am Invincible is the most heavily-represented sire with 85, followed by Written Tycoon (76) and Snitzel (66).
