Frankel mare Miss Fabulass was the star performer at Tuesday's Strawberry Hill Stud Dispersal Sale, having the highest-priced young horse sold then topping the Magic Millions-run sale herself.

The eight-year-old Group 2 winner and Group 1 placegetter, who is out of former superstar filly Samantha Miss, got to $1,850,000 before being knocked down to Yulong, who were buying under the Highway Farm banner.

Miss Fabulass was sold not carrying a foal after missing to I Am Invincible last year, a visit that followed producing a colt by that sire in October.

That colt was sold early in Tuesday's sale and realised $950,000 when sold to Kia Ora Stud and TFI partnership.

Samantha Miss was also offered and will be taking up residence alongside her daughter after selling for $320,000.

Highway Farm was also the winning bidder for the day's other seven-figure lot, Mokulua who sold in-foal to Frankel for $1.6 million.

Mokulua is out of VRC Oaks winner Dear Demi, who was another Highway Farm purchase, for $700,000.

Highway Farm also secured the other lot in Tuesday's top five, More Than Ready mare Too Much Lippy, a half-sister to ATC Australian Derby winner Levendi who is in-foal to Frankel.

The top lots contributed greatly to a sale gross of $15.497 million with the 55 lots selling at an average price of $281,763.

"All in all, to trade over $15 million worth of horses in just over two hours is a great result for Magic Millions and for Strawberry Hill," Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said.

"I think we ended up with 33 individual buyers for the 55 horses on offer. It was great to engage with such a huge cross section of our industry.

"Huge congratulations to our team and also the Strawberry Hill team for pulling together such a unique event."

"It's been a long time since there's been an on-farm sale and to have such a good number of people here to enjoy the day was fantastic."
