Blake Ryan turned a $70,000 yearling into a $400,000 two-year-old on Tuesday when his Capitalist colt topped this year's Inglis Ready2Run Sale.

The youngster who is out of a half-sister to Santos was bought by leading Hong Kong agent Willie Leung for a price tag that is a record for the New South Wales trainer.

"To turn $70,000 into $400,000, well that's just ridiculous in the very best of ways,'' Ryan said of the colt he bought earlier this year at Inglis Classic.

"That's what we're all about. It's mind blowing really, it's a fantastic result.

"He was a very popular horse all week, he's just a lovely horse and deserved to sell well like he did and I'm sure he'll go on to do good things.''

Ryan's standout colt clocked 10.74 seconds in his breeze-up session at Hawkesbury.

"He looks really athletic and moved really well in the breeze up,'' Leung said.

"He didn't breeze in the fastest time but he looks like a racehorse, that's why I want to bring him to Hong Kong straight away and hopefully he can run next April in a Griffin race."

Just $50,000 separated the top five lots of the sale with a colt by I Am Invincible out of Bit Of Cheek and a colt by Justify out of Boudicea Belle sharing honours as the second highest-priced lot of the sale at $370,000.

The Justify youngster will head to Annabel Neasham, who trains Justify's banner Australian product Learning To Fly, after being purchased by Pato Leung.

"We're obviously a big fan of Justify, we bought quite a few yearlings by him this year off the back of Learning To Fly, we had an order from a client and he again was a fan of Justify so it all just matched,'' Neasham said.

"I watched his breeze, I mean that's the advantage of coming here and buying two-year-olds is you can watch them gallop beforehand and he's got a beautiful big action."

Rounding out the top five lots were the fastest breeze-up horse, Tal Nolen's Showtime colt who ran 10.14secs, and Prima Park's Zoustar colt who both sold for $350,000.

All up, the Inglis Ready2Race Sale grossed $10,477,500 at an average of $113,886.
